Introduction
We built this halogen lamp to be a powerhouse in a tiny package. It’s the kind of heater you turn on when you need serious warmth, fast, but you don’t have a lot of room to spare. Think of it as a focused heat source, perfect for homes or even light workshops. It gets the job done where space is tight and you need heat on demand.
What Makes It Tick
This thing runs at 400V and 2500W, which means it packs a serious punch without taking up much space. The tube is just 300mm long, so the heat is concentrated right where you need it. That lets you use a smaller heater design without losing any of the oomph. And the 400V rating? It’s a smart move for places that run on higher line voltage. It lowers the current for the same power, which means you can use thinner wires and not worry about voltage dropping off over a distance.
The Build
Inside, the halogen element is housed in a quartz envelope. This stuff can handle extreme heat and keeps the output steady over time. The halogen cycle is the secret sauce here—it keeps the filament clean, so the lamp stays bright instead of fading out on you. The R7s base makes it a breeze to install. It’s a simple, double-ended connector that lines the tube up perfectly in the reflector. It’s a direct replacement, so the wiring is straightforward. Plus, the quartz coating helps manage the heat spectrum and prevents hot spots from forming.
Where It Shines
This lamp is ideal for home heaters that need to get hot the second you flip the switch. The response is almost instant, so your temperature control feels quick and responsive. Now, here’s the thing. With 2500W at 400V, you do need to plan for proper cooling. The heat sink and airflow have to be up to the task to keep the tube and everything around it from getting too hot.
